This eyewear is intended to provide limited eye protection against flying particles or small objects. Indirectly(covered) vented or non-vented goggles may be appropriate for chemical splash and dust hazards. This product should not be used as a substitute for machine guards or other engineering controls. This product is for occupational use only and meets ANSI Z87.1 standard(see product label for other retings.). The lenses are impact resistant but not unbreakable. It is responsibility of the employer to determine if the eyewear is suitable for the application based on the worksite hazard assessment and applicable standards for the correct use consult supervisor and User Instructions or contact 3M PSD Technical Helpline at 86-400-920-3595.
Ensure eyewear fits securely, minimizes gaps to head, and is not easily dislodged. Use accessories, such as gaskets, where applicable. Clean only with mild soap and water, pat dry with a soft cloth. Store eyewear in a clean area protected from contaminants, direct sunlight, chemicals, high heat or extreme cold.
To reduce the risks associated with eye hazards which, if not avoided, could result in serious injury or death:
Inspect eyewear(lenses and temples) before each use. Replace immediately if there is any sign of damage.
Do not use for protection form larger objects or severe impacts, such as explosions or fragmenting grinding/abrasive wheels.
Always use suitable secondary protection(such as a welding shield or faceshield) for:burning, cutting, any type of welding, furnace or molten metal operations, lasers, or glass blowing. Eyewear with infrared filters provide limited protection from infrared radiation.
Eyewear may fog in certain environments; if fogging occurs, stop task or operation. When safe to do so, exit area and contact supervisor.
Do not use for athletic sports, paintball or recreational simulated combat games.
Always use two hands when putting on eyewear; never alter or modify the product.
